LALALAND
Studio
Lalaland was a Design-Driven Animation Studio that I founded in 2011. For me, Lalaland represented a safe creative space, where worlds were created and nurtured until they were ready to go outside and play.
Within the Studio, I Managed and Creatively Lead the Team of up to 7 members (+ occasional freelancers), along with continuing to work as a Motion Designer and a Compositor. Our clients were advertising agencies and production studios - mostly local, with a couple of international exceptions. During this period, I had numerous opportunities to learn as a creative, as well as a leader: Producing, Team & Production Management, Art Direction, Direction, Pitch & Concept Development, 3D & 2D Animation, and A LOT of Lens Flares. 😂
In 2016 I decided to recentre my focus on my growth as an artist and a creative team leader. Lalaland’s journey thus ended, while mine only began. I still cherish the trust given to us by our clients and treasure all the lessons learnt.
